In the current year’s Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) of NRHM, there is a provision for organizing ‘NRHM Sammelan’ one in each of the districts of J&K state. These Sammelans aim at creating awareness among the PRIs, prominent citizens, NGOs, health functionaries viz CMOs, BMOs/MOs (Block PHCs) and mainly for the field functionaries like Field NGOs, FMPHWs, ASHAs and AWWs who are directly associated with the implementation of various schemes/ programmes under NRHM at the ground level. Rs. 40,000 has been approved in the PIP for each Sammelan.
Guidelines for organizing NRHM Sammelan at the District Level
Objective of NRHM Sammelan These Sammelans aim at creating awareness among the PRIs, prominent citizens, NGOs, health functionaries viz CMOs, BMOs/MOs (Block PHCs) and mainly for the field functionaries like Field NGOs, FMPHWs, ASHAs and AWWs who are directly associated with the implementation of various schemes/ programmes under NRHM at the ground level.

Welcome address along with key note address by the Mission Director, NRHM/Director Health Services highlighting the objectives and focus areas of National Rural Health Mission.
Address by the MLCs/ MLAs/ Hon’ble Ministers regarding NRHM
Address by the Guest of Honour.
Address by the Chief Guest.
Vote of thanks by the concerned Chief Medical Officer.
Technical Session
The technical session is aimed at making the members of PRIs (Sarpanches/ Panches), prominent citizens and field functionaries viz fieldNGOs, FMPHWs, ASHAs and AWWs aware of the implementation of various schemes at the ground level. The lectures are to be delivered by the CMO/ District Officer of Health Department/ BMOs on the following topics:
Role and duties of ASHAs CMO/BMO
Provision of services for Mother and Child Health Care at various levels under NRHM ---- BMO
Name Based Tracking of Pregnant Women and Children ---- BMO
Holding of Village Health and Nutrition Days --- BMO.
PC & PNDT Act/ Female Feticide ----- CMO/ Dy. CMO
ASHA incentives and Event Reporting by ASHA--- Representative of State Health Society.
Feedback Session
Feedback session will be of one hour in which the quaries of the field functionaries regarding the different schemes of NRHM will be discussed and clarified by the CMO/BMOs/representative of State Health Society.
A speaker shall speak for the stipulated time given in the programme schedule in local language only.

Financial aspects
Rs. 40,000 has been approved in the PIP for each Sammelan for the following activities to be taken up by the District Health Societies:-
Printing of invitation cards.
Awards to ASHA.
Flex banners/IEC material.
Refreshment/lunch.
Booking of Venue.
Photographs (Important photographs only Maximum 50 Photographs).
Other requisites for NRHM Sammelan
The dignitaries (like Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Hon’ble Minister/ MLAs/MLCs and members from PRIs are to be invited properly by way of invitation card.
Flex charts, IEC material on Role of ASHAs, ASHA incentives, JSY incentives, PC&PNDT Act RKS to be displayed on the venue.
One ASHA from each of the block shall be given reward of Rs.1000/- and a memento on this day, to be selected beforehand based on her performance.
Authorities responsible for organizing NRHM Sammelan
Technical inputs will be provided by the State Health Society, NRHM.
The execution of the Sammelan shall be responsibility of the District Health Society under the supervision of Director Health Services.
